Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Suitcased ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information.

1. Information We Collect

Suitcased is designed with privacy at its core. We collect minimal data: • Trip data (names, destinations, dates, budgets, ratings) • Activity data (names, dates, times, addresses, notes, categories, tickets/passes) • Expense data (descriptions, amounts, currencies, categories, receipt images) • App preferences (default currency, premium status)

All of the above data is stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of this information on external servers.

2. Data Storage

All your personal data — trips, activities, expenses, receipts, tickets, settings — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. We have no access to this data.

Premium users may export their data as a JSON backup file. This file is saved to your device or shared via your device's native sharing mechanism. We do not receive or store backup files.

3. Currency Conversion

Suitcased provides near-real-time currency conversion. To deliver this feature, the app may make network requests to retrieve current exchange rates. No personal or trip data is sent during these requests.

4. In-App Purchases

Premium upgrades are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store payment information. All transactions are handled by the respective platform.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services: • RevenueCat — to manage in-app purchases and subscription status. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase-related data in accordance with their privacy policy. • Map services — activity locations may be displayed on maps using your device's built-in map provider.

We do not use analytics trackers, advertising SDKs, or any other third-party data collection services.

6. Notifications

You may optionally enable notifications for activity reminders. Notification scheduling is handled entirely on your device. We do not use push notification servers.

7. Children's Privacy

Suitcased is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, you can delete your data at any time by: • Deleting individual trips, activities, or expenses within the app • Uninstalling the app (this permanently deletes all data)

No data remains on our servers because we do not collect or store your data externally.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Welcome to Suitcased. By downloading, installing, or using the Suitcased application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Suitcased is a personal travel companion app that allows you to: • Create and manage unlimited trips • Track budgets and expenses with live currency conversion • Schedule and organize activities with map integration • Use a tip calculator with bill splitting • Split expenses between multiple people • View basic expense insights and budget tracking

Premium features include full budget tracking, full expense insights, full expense reports, PDF export, tickets & passes, receipt uploads, and data backup & restore.

2. Free & Premium Features

The App offers a free tier with the following features: • Unlimited trips • Basic budget tracking • Live currency conversion • Tip calculator & bill splitting • Basic expense insights • Split expenses per person • Activity tracking with maps • Activity scheduling

A one-time Premium purchase unlocks additional features: • Tickets & passes • Full expense reports • PDF export of reports • Data backup & restore • Full budget tracking • Full expense insights • Upload receipts

3. In-App Purchases

Premium is available as a one-time in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the policies of the respective app store. You may restore your purchase on any device signed in with the same store account.

4. Data & Storage

All data you create in the App — trips, activities, expenses, receipts, tickets, and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not store your data on external servers.

You are solely responsible for backing up your data. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all locally stored data. Premium users can export and import backups using the Data & Backup feature.

5. Currency Conversion Disclaimer

Currency exchange rates provided in the App are estimates based on near-real-time data and are for informational purposes only. Rates may differ from those offered by your bank or financial institution. Suitcased is not responsible for any financial decisions or losses based on the rates displayed in the App.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal purposes. You shall not: • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App • Use the App for any commercial or professional financial advisory purpose • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality • Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, and code in the App are the property of Suitcased and its creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that currency rates will be accurate at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Suitcased and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss, financial decisions based on currency rates, or inability to access the App.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the App with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App's creators reside, without regard to conflict of law principles.

What is Suitcased? Suitcased is a travel companion app that helps you plan trips, track budgets and expenses, schedule activities, convert currencies in real time, and stay organized on the go — all from your phone.

Is Suitcased free to use? Yes! Suitcased is free with a generous set of features including unlimited trips, basic budget tracking, live currency conversion, tip calculator with bill splitting, basic expense insights, expense splitting per person, activity tracking with maps, and activity scheduling.

What platforms does Suitcased support? Suitcased is available on iOS, Android, and the web.

Trips & Activities

Is there a limit on how many trips I can create? No. Trip creation is completely free and unlimited — create as many trips as you like at no cost.

Can I schedule activities for my trips? Yes. Activity scheduling is a free feature. You can add activities with dates, times, addresses, notes, and categories. You can also view them on a map.

Can I attach tickets or passes to activities? Yes — attaching tickets and passes to activities is a Premium feature. Upgrade to Premium to store boarding passes, event tickets, reservations, and more directly on each activity.

Can I rate my trips and activities? Yes. You can rate both trips and individual activities to keep a personal record of your experiences.

Budget & Expenses

What budget features are free? Free users get basic budget tracking, basic expense insights, live currency conversion, tip calculator with bill splitting, and the ability to split expenses per person.

What additional budget features does Premium unlock?Premium unlocks full budget tracking, full expense insights, full expense reports, PDF export of reports, and the ability to upload receipts to expenses.

How does currency conversion work? Suitcased provides live, near-real-time currency conversion rates. When you log an expense in a foreign currency, it is automatically converted to your default currency. Rates are estimates — always verify with your bank for exact amounts.

Can I split expenses between people? Yes. You can split any expense between multiple people. This is a free feature available to all users.

Can I upload receipts? Uploading receipt images to expenses is a Premium feature.

What does Premium include? Premium unlocks the following features: • Tickets & passes attached to activities • Full expense reports • PDF export of reports • Data backup & restore • Full budget tracking • Full expense insights • Upload receipts

Is Premium a one-time purchase or a subscription?Premium is a one-time purchase. Pay once, unlock all premium features forever — no recurring charges.

Can I restore my purchase on a new device? Yes. You can restore your purchase through the App Store or Google Play Store on any device signed in with the same account.

Data & Privacy

Where is my data stored? All your data is stored locally on your device. Suitcased does not upload your trips, expenses, or personal information to any server.

Can I back up my data? Yes — Premium users can export all trips, activities, expenses, and settings to a JSON backup file, and restore from a backup at any time.

What happens if I uninstall the app? Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app will permanently delete your data unless you have exported a backup (Premium feature).
